What will you do on your day off? The possibilities are endless, but all Sam wants to do is sit on the couch and chill...

But fate has something else in mind as it throws an avalanche of distractions at him including marauding ticket inspectors, anger management classes, a gung ho swat team and pointless speed dating.

Can Sam and his best mate Jeff triumph over the forces of evil and manage to watch some T.V? Well yes, but you should watch it anyway to see how they do it.

The Public Holiday pilot was made as Mat's end of year project while attending RMIT university's Screen studies course. It was here that Mat met Stu and the entire first season was shot at Stu's place while his Mum was on holiday. Season 2 was vastly superior to the first and quickly became a cult hit. Combining sketch comedy and sitcom elememts, Public Holiday is original, irreverent and by christ it is entertaining.

Featuring a stand out performance from Wes Scott, Public Holiday introduced timeless characters such as Homelss Jones, Sailor Meat, Jimmy Ferrari, Rutger Luftburger and Yelly McScream.
